At the moment I am reading the 'Pursuit of Love', and soon to start 'Love In a Cold Climate' and Nancy Mitford has fast become one of my favourite authors. I love her funny, witty writing, her look at different types of love and all the characters of the Radlett family, with Uncle Matthew, Linda, and Jassy, being my favourite (her running off to America to marry an actor she has never met before is one of my favourite parts!).
As well as being a great author, Nancy used to be part of the Bright Young Things whilst growing up in the 1920s, and had fantastic, elegant style, wearing couture such as Dior and Balenciaga. These are the two images that I think illustrate this best, especially the floral dress and its silhouette.
